VITAL NATIONAL FIGURES AND STATISTICS

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) distributed ₦2.001 trillion as revenue for July 2025 among the federal, state, and local governments.

The total gross revenue for July amounted to ₦3.837 trillion. Out of this, ₦152.681 billion was subtracted to cover the collection expenses, and ₦1.683 trillion was allocated for transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings.

The FAAC also revealed that the gross statutory revenue for July was ₦3.070 trillion, representing a decrease of ₦415.108 billion compared to the ₦3.485 trillion collected in June.

In contrast, Value Added Tax revenue increased to ₦687.940 billion in July, marking an increase of ₦9.775 billion compared to the ₦678.165 billion collected in June.

The Federal Government was allocated ₦735.081 billion from the overall distributable pool, while the states received ₦660.349 billion, and the local councils were granted ₦485.039 billion.

Oil-producing states were allocated ₦120.359 billion as derivation revenue, which accounts for 13 percent of the earnings from minerals.
